The headline stat
I died twenty-one times, took the only Roshan, and we won.
Phoenix finished 6/21/37 in an 81-minute game with 156 kills in it. Twenty-one deaths was the most of anyone on either team; thirty-seven assists was the most on Dire, one behind Pudge’s 38 for the match. And at 73:57 the last hit on the match’s only Roshan was mine — seven and a half minutes before a Necronomicon warrior took the Radiant fort.
Radiant out-killed us 82 to 74 and still lost, the way it went in We Died Seventy-Eight Times and Won except with both teams doing the dying. Every one of Radiant’s eighteen structures fell; fifteen of ours did too. Both tier-four pairs were gone by 80:07, and the only fort that went was theirs.
6:53–77:58
Viper seven times, and I got four back
死の風’s Viper killed me seven times (8:44, 10:28, 18:46, 34:36, 58:46, 62:12, 74:43) and died to me four (22:01, 45:29, 55:03, 66:59) — the closest thing to a fair fight I had all game, and it started with him giving first blood to Bristleback at 6:34 with me on the assist. Skywrath Mage got me four times, Shadow Shaman four (two of them his wards), Pudge three, Undying twice plus once with a zombie. Two of my deaths and kills were the same fight: I died to Undying at 45:28 and Viper died to me at 45:29, and I killed Viper at 66:59 and died to a Shaman ward three seconds later. My other two kills were both Shadow Shaman, at 40:49 and 75:02.
the shape of the win
Windranger went 28/18/14 with 21,350 tower damage and personally took eleven Radiant structures, from the bottom tier-two at 36:52 to a tier-four at 77:30. On the other side ErmaK™’s Pudge put up 185,491 hero damage and 173,904 damage taken, both far clear of anyone else in the match, and BEHZAD’s Undying went 20/6/34 with the fewest deaths on either team. QB’s Skywrath Mage — the Sven from One Death, No Buildings Lost, on the other side of a much better game this time — led Radiant with 21 kills. Wacker’s Legion Commander healed 47,166, the most in the match.
17:28–81:35
Eighteen of theirs, fifteen of ours, both ancients open
Radiant led the map for the first hour: all three Dire tier-ones and two tier-twos were gone by 35:31 against two of theirs, and both bottom racks and both mid racks of ours had fallen by 60:14. Windranger was taking Radiant’s base apart at the same time — the top tier-three and range rax at 52:05–52:14, bottom and mid tier-threes by 71:37, the last of their six racks at 72:19, mega creeps by 74:11. Roshan at 73:57 was the only one of the game. Radiant’s first tier-four fell at 77:30; then Viper, a Shaman ward and a creep wave took our top tier-three and both our tier-fours between 79:51 and 80:03, a flagbearer mega creep took Radiant’s second at 80:07, and a Necronomicon warrior finished their fort at 81:35. Our top racks and fort never fell.
Twenty-one deaths is a number you apologise for. Twenty-one deaths, thirty-seven assists and the only Roshan is a number you put in the title.

Reconstructed from the match replay with dotabuff/manta · combat log + entity snapshot analysis. GPM/XPM and net worth weren’t reliably recoverable from this replay’s combat log and are omitted for everyone. Phoenix’s Supernova damage is logged under the hero’s own name (checked: no separate Sun unit appears as a damage source), so nothing had to be added to the hero-damage total, and Supernova eggs don’t log as deaths — the 21 here matches the scoreboard. Radiant’s mid tier-one (42:03) is logged with a same-team destroyer, a known parser quirk, so it’s counted as a Radiant loss and credited to nobody. The fort-killing Necronomicon warrior is an item summon and isn’t attributable to a hero from the log. Match 8680803028 · 10 players · 81:35 · Dire victory.
