The headline stat

I killed Wraith King three times. None of them counted.

Nyx Assassin finished 1/12/14. The combat log shows me landing the killing blow on Wraith King three separate times — and every single one triggered Reincarnation instead of a kill.

Reincarnation doesn’t care how the health bar got to zero, and Dota’s own scoreboard agrees: none of those three counted toward my kill total. My one real kill of the game was Phantom Assassin, caught late. Everything else was spent chipping the same hero down to nothing, three times, for credit that never came.

15:24–29:03

Three reincarnations, one real kill

faramant51’s Wraith King hit zero HP under my hands at 15:24, 19:32, and 29:03 — and reincarnated all three times before anyone could finish the job. My actual kill came at 35:28, on Phantom Assassin, with three teammates helping close it out. My twelve deaths were spread across five different sources, none of them a real pattern — Lina three times, Wraith King (himself or his summoned skeleton warrior) four times, Phantom Assassin three times, Dark Willow once, a lane creep once.

the real story of the loss

sinner’s Lina finished 15/7/9 with a ten-kill streak and personally closed six different structures, including both tier-four towers. Belka’s Phantom Assassin (14/3/14) had the cleanest line on either team — three deaths all game. Between the two of them, Radiant’s only losses were two tier-one towers, both to lane creeps, neither to a hero.

26:13–39:38

Two towers, and both were creeps

Radiant’s entire structural loss column: a tier-one at 26:13 and another at 36:05, both taken by lane creeps rather than a hero push. No Dire hero personally destroyed a single Radiant structure the whole match. Everything went the other way, down to the fort at 39:38. Roshan never came up.

The combat log doesn’t know what a kill is. The scoreboard does, and it was right to only give me one.

Reconstructed from the match replay with dotabuff/manta · combat log + entity snapshot analysis. Three combat-log kill events on Wraith King were excluded from the kill count and chart above because they were flagged will_reincarnate — verified directly rather than assumed, since the raw combat log and the scoreboard disagreed by three. GPM/XPM and net worth weren’t reliably recoverable and are omitted for everyone. Match 8677705239 · 10 players · 39:38 · Radiant victory.
