The headline stat

Seven kills, and three of them were the Bear’s.

Lone Druid finished 7/6/15 with a solo Roshan at 35:02. Three of the seven kills — Drow Ranger at 31:23, Warlock at 50:09, Meepo at 50:43 — were last-hit by the Spirit Bear, and the scoreboard gives them to me, which is how it should be. The Bear also took three of the five Radiant buildings my kit destroyed.

It was a race, and we lost it by about two minutes. At 51:35 we had Radiant’s mid tier-three and both mid racks down, all three to me or the Bear. At 53:48 Meepo started on ours, and the fort followed at 55:53. Same Lone Druid whose Bear taught this blog’s parser a lesson back in First Blood Wasn’t Enough; wxyzor, on Dragon Knight this time, was on my side again, as in Sniper, Eight Times.

15:15–55:41

Warlock four times, and a mutual kill with Huskar to the same tick

User01’s Warlock died to me at 15:15, 19:04 and 38:03 and to the Bear at 50:09 — four of his five deaths all game. At 19:54 Huskar and I killed each other on the same timestamp, which the log records as one kill and one death for each of us. The other deaths: Warlock at 27:58, Drow Ranger at 38:56, Meepo at 42:57 with all five Radiant heroes on it, Warlock again at 53:12, and Crystal Maiden at 55:41, twelve seconds before the fort. The Bear’s kill on Meepo at 50:43 was a real one — Meepo’s Aegis from the 47:59 Roshan had already been used up by Hoodwink at 48:20.

the real story of the loss

Донбасский’s Meepo finished 17/7/14 at level 30 with 144,486 hero damage, 150,150 damage taken and 71,081 healing across his clones — all three the highest in the match by a distance — took Roshan at 47:59, and personally destroyed the mid tier-three, a mid rax, both tier-fours and the fort in the last two minutes. User01’s Warlock (9/5/23) did 80,169 hero damage with his golem and imps counted, and the golem took two of our towers. For us, Captain Fox’s Hoodwink claimed first blood at 4:03 and finished 20/4/13 at 76.7% teamfight participation with 255 last hits, the most in the match.

11:53–55:53

Their mid racks at 51:35, ours at 54:06, their fort never

The Bear took Radiant’s bottom tier-one at 11:53 and I took the top one at 19:30; Radiant took all three of ours by 23:13 and two tier-twos by 31:09, one to Warlock’s golem. Then a long middle: Hoodwink’s mid tier-two at 40:05 was the only building to fall in nineteen minutes. From 51:28 the Bear took their mid tier-three and melee rax and I took the range rax, and Dragon Knight their top tier-two at 52:14. Radiant’s reply from 53:48 took eight of ours in two minutes and five seconds: mid tier-three and both racks (the melee one to a Warlock imp), a tier-four, the bottom tier-three to the golem, a bottom rax, the other tier-four, and the fort. Our top lane and one bottom rax were still standing.

Three kills and three buildings from a bear, a solo Roshan, and four Warlock deaths. On another night that’s the winning column. Tonight Meepo was in the other one.

Reconstructed from the match replay with dotabuff/manta · combat log + entity snapshot analysis. GPM/XPM and net worth weren’t reliably recoverable from this replay’s combat log and are omitted for everyone. Three of my seven kills were last-hit by the Spirit Bear, which the log records under its own unit name; they’re counted and charted as mine because the scoreboard credits them to Lone Druid and because this blog counts a hero’s whole kit, and the Bear’s damage, tower damage and last hits are in my row for the same reason. Warlock’s golem and imps are treated the same way. Meepo’s clones share his name, so his damage, damage taken and healing include all of them, and each of his real deaths is logged once per clone — his seven scoreboard deaths were confirmed against the log, with one extra event (48:20) being an Aegis flagged will_reincarnate. Dire’s bottom tier-one (22:01) is logged with a same-team destroyer, a known parser quirk, so it’s counted as a Dire loss and credited to nobody.
