The headline stat

Untouched

Five kills, zero deaths, twenty-three assists. I did not die once in this game.

That’s not a boast about being unkillable — Dazzle isn’t a hero anyone is scared of one-on-one. It’s a support who spent the whole game exactly where a support should be: in the fight, healing something, and never the priority target. The scoreline is really a byproduct of the team around it never letting the game get close.

3:37

Claiming my own first blood

I don’t usually get to write this sentence: I secured the game’s First Blood myself, catching Witch Doctor at 3:37 with Skeleton King and Bounty Hunter backing the play. A three-man read on a support who wandered too far, four minutes into the game — about as clean a First Blood as this series has covered.

7:56–14:03

Three kills, one hero

Bristleback died to me three separate times in a six-minute window — 7:56, 10:08, 14:03 — each one with Anti-Mage joining the kill. Whatever lane or rotation pattern Bristleback was running, it kept walking into the same two-man read. My final kill of the game came much later, closing out Shadow Fiend at 38:07 as the game ended.

what the healing actually did

16,229 healing and a 62.2% teamfight participation rate meant I was in every fight that mattered, keeping Necrolyte and Skeleton King — the two heroes actually racking up the kill count — alive to keep doing it. Neither of them dying more than once all game isn’t an accident with a healer running Shallow Grave sitting in every fight.

20:05–40:45

The rest of the game, in one paragraph

From the moment the first tower fell at 20:05, this stopped being competitive. Radiant took 24 of the 25 total structures destroyed in the game, losing exactly one tower of our own at 27:54. The fort came down at 40:45. Dire’s two supports, Witch Doctor and Enchantress, finished with zero kills between them.

correction

Anti-Mage’s economy stats read as zero here too, and were pinned on the same reconnect theory as The Lead We Couldn’t Hold. Both instances turned out to be a hero-ID mapping bug in the parsing script, not a reconnect — since fixed, with the real numbers now in the table below. Phantom Lancer’s hero-damage-taken still reads as an implausible 238,402, and that part holds up: it’s illusion damage getting counted as the hero’s own, a real and separate quirk of how Phantom Lancer’s kit logs to the combat log, not a mapping error.

The best support performances rarely look dramatic in the moment. They look like a scoreboard where nobody on your side died very much.
